We arrived to the hotel and finally felt safe and some peace. As soon as we walked in the room, I called my family and let them know we were good. I will always remember my years of high school. All the people I met, the moments I lived, and the guys I have loved during this time have been and will be some of the best memories in my life. Even though we are a very small group, eight students to be precise, we have been together for many years and shared moments that have marked our lives in special ways. Looking back, I can see that it was through high school that many things changed in me that eventually made me become the person I am today.
Each one of my high school years differ in some way or another and it was these differences that made each one a very special time in my life. The most memorable event in my life was when we moved out from Russia to a country that changes lives and is known as a dream land called the United States of America. When we sat on the airplane that was going toward the United States in August of , we knew our lives are going to be changed in the way we always wanted them to. After twelve years of not going to school and being discriminated by Russian citizens, this moving to a new country was the most amazing, not just in my life generally, but for my entire family as well.
I remember the excitement after finishing my freshman year of highschool. Summer was here and everything it entails. Skateboarding, swimming, ice cream, the possibilities felt endless. I have had many important experiences in my life, but my most important experience was senior year of high school. During this time, I learned who I wanted to be, how to face all of my difficulties, and I was the first to graduate on moms side of the family. Almost anyone can close their eyes right this moment and envision their senior year of high school abundant with remarkable events and be able to recall numerous memories made. There is one memory that stood out amongst all the others during my senior year. This one extenuating circumstance along with valued experiences has shaped me into the kind of individual I am today and has completely transformed my life.
I have moved around quite a bit which means there have been many significant moments in my life, but one seems to stand out, It happened a few months after I moved to my sixth school, Parkers Prairie High School. While I was only in seventh grade, I was still considered a high-schooler because of the way the district functioned. This meant that I had harder classes and more homework, but it also meant that I could participate in high school clubs, so I became part of the PPHS Knowledge Bowl Group. A significant event in my life is when my team won a Knowledge Bowl Meet because I got out of school, I got to meet new friends, and it gave me a strong sense of accomplishment.
Do you remember the day of your high school graduation? When everyone stood outside in their caps and gowns, and the proud feeling filling in the air. My favorite photo of my friend and I is framed next to my diploma that sits on my desk. My fourth grade in elementary grade, I had made the most memories. I was the upperclassmen and I had become a bus buddy. Where I would wear an orange badge and have kids cooperate on the bus. My cousin also joined me in this journey. We would sit at the back and act like top-notches. In my last year in high school I made lots of friends and learn so much.
I made my name in the basketball team I broke some records and most of all I reach the goal my brothers could not when they were seniors. I was made cation of the varsity team. I was elected my teammates and coaches. In the end I was able to reach my goals in basketball and in school. the day I was made cation was one of the best day in my life because I learn if I work hard and push myself I can reach any goal I want…. My most memorable memory included eggs, confetti, and confusion. This day had many odd occurrences, from window paint, eggs, flour, camouflage, and a roller coaster of emotions.
The best memory ever to me was the last day of my senior year of high school. That day started off as any normal last day of high school. There were camera flashes, k. t keep. touch in yearbooks, smiles, yearbooks flying around the cafeteria, and saying goodbye to teachers. As the day progressed, it was good being able to hang out with my whole class before walking the stage. Memories, memories, memories some make you laugh, get angry, even cry but the one thing is for sure they all share a place deep in our hearts. I have so many memories but the one which stands out most in my mind, heart and soul is the memory of my son Alyxaiden Eric Nicholas Cano. I was in labor with him 7 long painful yet worth while hours. It was the beginning of a new chapter in my life, the best and most treasurable one if you ask me. I can still remember the excruciating pain of pushing him out and how it all disappeared as soon as he was out, it was as if the unexplainable pain didn 't even exist seconds before. My life was now complete and I felt alive again after all the tragedy in my past this was my turning point. One of my most special experiences is the time I graduated from high school. They are unforgettable times with family and friends on an important day to me.
